This edition does not include all of Defoe's famous work, Robinson Crusoe. The island is, in more ways that you can guess at first, a scale-model of the world as a whole. It is written like an essay (citations and all) and difficult to see the author's point at times. Science and Mathematic Foote’s talk increasingly began to slip to the ‘bookstore’ at the rear of the ballroom to buy all available copies of her book well before that talk had ended. The imagery in the novel is amazing. A struggle rages within each of these nations between reformers and corrupt leaders-and the corrupt are winning.
